Gregory Zeorlin:  Dallas Arboretum Sculpture Commission

Concept

This sculpture reflects a love for the natural world as well as an interest in cursive writing and Japanese screens.  The design entwines stylized vines of poison ivy and Virgina Creeper in a graceful manner.  The sculpture was installed to take advantage of sun exposure and the resulting shadows that are cast from the 8' tall bronze sections.
